Hello,

I installed slimserver 6.5.4 on a ubuntu box (through apt), everything
seems to work fine, except that I have a proxy server with
authentification (my user has full access, but some other users not..),
I tried to enter user:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:port in the proxy server, but in the
slimserver it rejects it, I then entered it in the slimserver.pref
file, but it just ignores whats in front of the ip.
I then installed the squeezecenter (dev version, through apt), and by
entering user:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:port it accepts that syntax and creates:
webuser: user
webpassword: pass
webproxy: ip:port
in the conf file, but then when I want to do the setup it can't
authentificate on the squeezenetwork, and the logs show that it's not
using the authentification settings, so thats why its not working. (btw
with the 6.5.4 version I could at least access the slimserver through
http on the 9000 port, with the new one it just blocks at the
squeezenetwork authentification..)
I guess the user/pass settings although accepted, are not used because
they are not implemented in the application .. ?

Has anyone had the same problem and/or found a way to make the
squeezebox work through a proxy server with auth ..?

Another question; what port do I need to forward from the firewall to
access my squeezebox from outside my network ?
(ok I could RTFM...but I've been doing that for a while now on other
issues, so it would be nice if someone got the answer. :P)
