I've got SqueezeCenter running very happily in Win XP, and all seems to
work fine. My PC is a dual-booter, and I have Ubuntu 7.10 running on my
other drive. All my music is stored on my Windows drive, and I can see
said drive without any trouble at all in Ubuntu, and access the files
without any problem.

I've now installed SqueezeCenter on Ubuntu, and when it asks for the
path to my music files, I can't tell it to look at another drive - it
just displays the tree structure of my Ubuntu one. Can anyone tell me
how I can force it to look on my Windows drive?
