You might want to take a look at 'this thread' (http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=44335) in the 3rd Party Hardware forum, and the 'Rescan music library does nothing in squeezecenter' thread in this forum -- I've spent a bit of time this past week hacking around on the linkstation to get a working squeezecenter and have related my experiences in those two threads.
