I'm running my HP Thin Clinet with FreeNAS installed on a 32Mb SD card USB. Initialy I had 256Mb ram - with the system running OK, but after upgrading to 512Mb (max for my the Thin Client) coverarts loads much faster - I expect because the RAM disk is bigger. I have a 250Gb HDD connected to the system for data.
