Yep, but most of us don't need it and uninstalling it does not affect my ubuntu system. It runs fine without it. Apparmor is yet another complication that has come from the computer industry's over-enthusiasm on security. The "security" bogey man is a great card to play when you want to make money. PS. Late note. Just found there is now ONE program compromised by my removal of Apparmor. It seems the bright software engineers at slimdevices have added something in to the testing version of squeezecenter which ASSUMES the existence of apparmor on ubuntu and now fails on package installation! Well done guys. :( -- bulletmark ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bulletmark's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15014 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=46614 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/unix
