You don't need to remove the package to upgrade, just install the new
one. It will just perform an upgrade.
I'm not sure what is exactly wrong with your apparmor configs, but the
best thing to do is this:

dpkg --purge squeezecenter
--------------------
That will remove all traces of squeezecenter from your system. Then
you can try re-installing it.
