If you haven't installed a Java Runtime yet, try either -sun-java6-jre- (currently at 6-13-1; -Attention!- This cannot be installed using "Add and Remove Software" — it requires a manual "apt-get install" since you have to agree to their EULA.) or -maybe- (I didn't test this!) -openjdk-6-jre- (currently at 6b14-1.4.1-0ubuntu7).
Sorry but I'm unsure if an extra package for the Java Sound Layer is required.
