Just upgraded to OpenSUSE 11.3 last night and found this problem... if absolutely necessary, I might do the tweak described in this thread (thanks for the effort in figuring it out), but I'd prefer an integrated fix.
I guess this is being worked on but just wanted to add another voice to the group of users that need the fix.
