I recently updated my Ubuntu Server (8.04) as I normally do. This caused Squeezecenter to stop working, though. I then upgraded and now I have the very latest version, which apparently also has a new name. It looks great on my Android (and added untold remote control functionality that I was not even aware of) but it stops scanning at about 40% of my library. It does this no matter how I try to scan the library. The music it does scan will play and all other functionality appears to be fine.
Cursory research showed that this was a known problem. I just need to get back to a stable version that will scan my entire library. Are there instructions somewhere that I can follow to: 1) thoroughly uninstall the current semi-working version, and 2) install the latest stable version (I think it's 7.4 or 7.5 but correct me if I'm wrong). My repository is currently set for "deb http://debian.slimdevices.com stable main" Any help with this is greatly appreciated.
