I had to reinstall my Linux, for reasons far too tedious to go into here, having forgotten about the pain of installing SBS. However, thanks to your instructions it was *relatively* painless. The only major difference was that I installed the 7.7.2-1 rpm directly, that I had already downloaded from the Logitech site. Curiously, I had to uninstall it and then re-install (after loading the various Perl dependencies) before it would work.
It'd still be better if Logitech could get the rpm corrected so that it took care of all of the dependencies etc. Hopefully, this will have been sorted by the time I have to do this again. As a total aside, I have had some very good experience using Netatalk (http://netatalk.sourceforge.net/2.2/htmldocs/) to allow my MacBook to talk to my music share - this allows me to share the music files between my iTunes app on my MacBook and SBS on the server (which in turn serves my SB Duet). Prior to this, I wasted a lot of time trying to get Samba working - to no avail. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Klaus_K's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=56310 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=95347 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
