I said it made some simplifications....  The main one is that it
currently assumes all of the audio data is in one place and has no gaps
in it so it doesn't use the mp4 index to find the audio data. I wonder
if this is the problem.  Does it play for some time and then stop?

Can you pm me with an email address - would like to discuss the specific
files causing the problem.
