Triode - thanks for the help I did have to add squeezeboxserver to the audio group: usermod -a -G audio squeezeboxserver
I then had to set the card. in my case XMOS USB2 default Audio 2.0 Default. From the dropdown Then stop and restart squeezeboxserver.
