I've just discovered this ingenious application for myself. I tried the
synchronisation feature along with a Boom and was impressed to see it
synchronised well, although not perfectly for understandable reasons.

I suspect there is no way for the Squeezelite application to account for
the delay transmitting audio to the audio output of whichever platform
it runs on so there is always a fixed delay that is different from
platform to platform.

Is this the right place to suggest a tuning feature where an external
microphone can be used to automatically tune the delay to match either a
Squeezebox (Boom for example) or another squeezelite system? If I wanted
to synch Squeezelite with a boom, both would be synchronised and play an
audio track with pulses. The microphone would allow measurement of the
relative delay between the two systems. The delay on the Squeezelite
would then be adjusted to align the two pulses received from both
Squeeze systems.
