I am running the deb version of LMS 7.8 on Ubuntu 12.04 server. If I start it up with the network cable connected, LMS is available very quickly. However, when running on wifi only (which I do normally), it can be a few minutes for LMS to come up even though the box is pingable soon after power up.
I assume that LMS maybe checks for network presence or fails to start the first time in this instance.
