In looking at the Squeezeplay for Windows thread, I noticed that WASAPI
and ASIO  were removed a few versions ago, and WDMKS removed in a
version after that.  I looked at the comment in the github commit that
mentioned the remove and it looks like there was an issue with some sort
of COM handler in windows not being cleaned up causing the issues with
sample rate changes, the same thing I am experiencing here.

That said, that was squeezeplay not squeezelite, he does mention to go
back to an older squeezelite portaudio.dll if you want those interfaces,
but I am wondering if squeezelite has the same issue with rate changes
with those interfaces (in windows)?

If thats the case, I might stick with WDM-KS which should be bitperfect
and its working for me with squeezelite. However this was also removed
from Squeezeplay,  I am not sure if it was because of the same issue or
something else, but I am wondering if I will run into issues down the
road using it.  I didn't have issues with rate switches when I used it
but perhaps there was another issue with it?
