Hi Mr. Floppy

It seems like your susyem is OK - so are you sure that you use the
correct IP-address after you switch to wifi. The raspberry
(piCorePlayer) will have a new IP-address for the wifi connection.

I use advanced-IP scanner (http://www.advanced-ip-scanner.com/) to find
my piCorePlayer on my network.
However, you might be able to find the address if you follow these
instructions:
    
- Reboot the piCorePlayer with LAN cable attached.
- Set-up wifi on the web-page.
- reboot piCorePlayer
- SHH into the piCorePlayer
- write ifconfig - and now you should be able to see both the
  IP-address for the LAN connection and for the Wifi connection.
- Remove LAN
- Reboot (or pull the power)
- Use the wifi IP-address you got
