I was looking for some advice. Philippe_44 has done some great work to
resurrect Triode's YouTube plugin. Unfortunately I can't get it to work
on SoA because when LMS starts up it cannot load IO::Socket::SSL which
is essential for the YouTube plugin. The error message is:

Code:
--------------------
    [15-09-04 21:00:34.8281] Slim::Utils::Misc::msg (1220) Warning:
[21:00:34.8267] Async::HTTP: Unable to load IO::Socket::SSL, will try
connecting to SSL servers in non-SSL mode
--------------------

On Michael's advice in the YouTube thread I've tried to install the
missing module, but get the following error:

Code:
--------------------
    [root@soa-rpi2 perl5]# pacman -Syu perl-io-socket-ssl

Is anyone able to help?

Also, I've seen many discussions in the past about perl versions,
installing a LMS specific perl etc on the forums. Does SoA use the Arch
installation perl, or does it have it's own version? I'm guessing that
would have a bearing on whether what I'm trying to do is correct? I
don't get the technicalities..
