HINT: RPi Phil Elwell recommended the use of the 'Diederik de Haas rtl8812au github source' (https://github.com/diederikdehaas/rtl8812AU) tree, when this was raised a couple of weeks ago on Pi github. Don't own the dongle. Don't have any experience myself.
