So not being a l33t Nix haxorz ( am I showing my age?) Would this senario be possible: A small usb drive permanently attached to the pi and when the picore is instructed to update, it does so but stores the new update on the usb drive along with the update script and then reboots the pi from the usb drive, The script then formats the sd card and loads the new system on before restoring to booting from sd, negating any further card pulls?
