ESS Dac support is sketchy, as the ESS stuff is typically closed source drivers. But I think most get them to work with other or generic drivers. I personally would not support ESS due to their close source policies. That being said, other than being expensive, there is probably nothing wrong with the box, I'm sure it works fine. The power button integration is just simple GPIO, which we do have a extension for that.
