squeezeGoose, Seems I missed a step for you
edit /opt/.filetool.lst and add /var/lib/bluetooth at the end. (I've updated the OP) Then repair your speaker. Ignore the dbus error. The bus takes a bit to start and sometimes the script tries before it's complete. But the script does keep trying. The () after the error message is actually the success.
