My kids try to find the passphrase for the time-unlimited wireless network I use at home. From time to time, they overhear me sharing it with a guest. Changing the embedded device passphrase is difficult. It's certainly not trivial. So I created a separate wireless network. I hid the SSID to add another layer of security, no matter how minor or easy it is to circumvent.
In hiding the SSID, TinyCoreLinux won't try to connect to the hidden wireless network. I found this thread: http://forum.tinycorelinux.net/index.php?topic=19453.0 Of course, I can publish the SSID and cure the problems, but what fun is that? Any ideas on how to make TinyCoreLinux see the hidden SSIDs as part of the stock build? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ndemarco's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=22563 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109612 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
