I want to thank everyone who has contributed to this thread (Ralphy and vlycop especially); I've been using it as a "Go-To" resource to get SqueezePlay working on various Linux machines I've been toying around with. Recently I had to reinstall Lubuntu 18.04 on an old Dell Laptop I use in my workshop. I went through my usual reinstall motions to get Squeezeplay set back up and this time I can't quite get it to run.
I'm using the Squeezeplay Pulse i386 versions and get to the point of running it (using the very cool Shortcut suggestion) and nothing seems to happen except a wait indicator on the cursor. When I run "squeezeplay.sh &" from a command line I get "command not found". I've used "chmod +x" to make the squeezeplay.sh file executable as well as the jive file in bin. Perhaps my reinstall of Lubuntu is missing a component? I viewed the uncommented lines in the squeezeplay.sh file to see if there was some command that perhaps Lubuntu didn't know, but it wasn't apparent to me. Any help is greatly appreciated! I'm missing the tunes in my workshop. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ noexit's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66502 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109610 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
