Hi there

Today I in-situ updated pCP from 6.1.0 to 7.0.0. Problem: My sound
disappeared.

piCorePlayer | piCorePlayer v7.0.0 | www v00011 | linux
5.4.83-pcpCore-v7 | piCore v12.0pCP | Squeezelite v1.9.8-1287-pCP
This is running on a Raspberry Pi3 B+ with an ApplePi HAT DAC.
Wifi is disabled (using Ethernet only), Bluetooth is obviously then also
disabled.
Last I know HDMI was also disabled, but now I can't find a menu to
check.

Here's the pcp_insitu_upgrade.log:
Fixing any issues after insitu update Done.
Starting piCorePlayer v7.0.0 startup...
Starting rngd using /dev/hwrng... Done.
Checking for boot files on mmcblk0p1...

newpcp.cfg found on mmcblk0p1.

Removing old kernel modules extensions... Done.
Removing old pcp www extensions... Done.
Saving a copy of the upgrade log to
/mnt/mmcblk0p2/tce/pcp_insitu_upgrade.log ...

Generally my attention span is too short to look through the very
lengthy log files.
Let me know if I should look into a specific file for something
specific.

I noticed that on reboot after the update an error said that pCP-bt6.tgz
failed to update.
If I look in "Extensions" and try to manually install the file, then I
am told it already exist.
My sense is that this 'blurp' doesn't matter and the system is fine.
The BT Controller is Off. Since I'm not using Bluetooth - should I try
to REMOVE it entirely?

Squeezelite is running, running Standard Squeezelite Binary.
My audio device: hw:CARD=ApplePiDAC
I updated to: hw:CARD=ApplePiDAC,DEV=0
I tried: sysdefault:CARD=ApplePiDAC and reverted back to the previous
one.
None of these bring the sound back.
Volume is at 100%.
The system is finding my music library just fine, and seems to work with
the RadioParadize LMS plugin as well.
LMS is running on a Synology NAS.

ALSA settings were: 80 - 4 - blank - 1 - blank
I changed to: 80 - blank - blank - 1 - blank ... I think this is what I
original had. No difference.

I am forcing upsampling by setting
Max sample rate: 88200,96000,176400,192000
Upsample settings: v::3.5:28:95:100:45

I don't know if the problem is that SoX isn't properly loaded ?? (Why
wouldn't it be)

In pCP 6.1.0 I had (AFAIR) access to the ALSA Mixer, but "Card Control"
gives me nothing now,
so I assume it's good, but it could be that the default is the Headphone
jack.

In /proc/asound I find:
lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root             5 Jan 28 17:26 ApplePiDAC ->
card0
lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root             5 Jan 28 17:26 Headphones ->
card1

I tried to plug a pair of headphones into the Raspberry Pi analog
output. No sound.
I suppose setting DEV=0 means use card0 for output (?).

Here's the tail end of DMESG - I'm a bit startled by the 8-channel audio
card, AFAIK I have 2-ch stereo:

Could it be that the audio gets 'stuck' with the Bluetooth
initialization that isn't there or isn't working?

Sorry about all the undervoltage warnings. It's been like that since
July.

Please help me get the sound back.

Best regards,
Claus
