Thanks for the response. I am running 4 containers altogether, and the time is correct in the other 3. Interestingly, in the LMS container the time never changes - it simply remains at "Thu Jan 1 09:30:00 ACST 1970". Which implies that it is seeing my -time zone-, but not the correct time.
