Having said that, the version of the scanner is 1.05, so maybe there is some relation to pCP?
That's another "issue". Paul hasn't updated the Audio::Scan module yet. I'm sure he'll get there.
But the bug causing the scanner to crash was related to some work being done to port the Windows build to Strawberry Perl.
