It's certainly not off topic as far as I'm concerned.  Yesterday I 
ordered a SIIG UltraATA 100/133 Pro card to use with a Maxtor 7200 
IDE HD.  I chose it over the Sonnet more so as a matter of price.

Does anyone know if there is anything I would want to know about the 
difference between the SIIG and the Sonnet?

Charles, have you had any experience with the SIIG?
