I've got this problem figured out--it is a problem with my custom
version of BootX in version 2.2.3. I should have version 2.2.4 out in a
day or two to fix it. In the meantime, going back to version 2.2.2 and
using the "Reinstall BootX" option in the "Advanced" menu may help.
