That may be an issue with the internal video not being supported fully 
on Pre-G3 macs. I have heard no reports of such behavior on supported 
machines. I guess the fact you have a G4 means the relief of CPU load 
is not such a big issue as the G4 is more able to cope. I am willing to 
get it only makes a big difference on G3 powered machines.
