I got the WHO line stuck in my mind.
Shakin all over.
This past week end I got the bright idea of taking an old 4.3 gig
Fujitsu scsi drive and dropping it in my main S900 box and firing up
Jaguar on it.
Great news, it worked.
I was very pleased to see that it installed and have now gotten both of
my old S900s running Jaguar.
I gave one machine to my daughter and her fiance and they have it
running at their place.
My main machine is also a mini home server for my new airport enabled
TiBook.
Now get this I had 5 yes, count them 5 machines running with
IPNetrouter here at the house a couple of weeks ago.
I had bought the other daughter an 800 albino Imac, so she and her
husband would not be dragged into the, DARK SIDE. (they both are only
familiar with pc hardware)
The other daughter had lent me her blue and white iBook till I could
afford the new TiBook, so, I had all five macs on the network at once.
(yeah I am bragging here)
Love OSX and got all software transfered to the 3 machines I am not
keeping and was feeling a bit left out with my main machine unable to
load OSX because of the Ahard Acard Raid system on it.
Soooooo........ I installed the old scsi and was able to successfully
install OSX on that scsi.
The quiver came two days later. ( I suspect the twin turbo card)
My screen has the ever present slight screen quiver.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Here is the set up on the machine and cards, etc.
TIA
Lyle
S900 running OS9.1 with 592 megs of ram, w/VM off, original twin turbo
card, an Orange Micro FIreWire/USB card, Sonnet G3 500mhz card, Acard
Ahard RAID AEC-6860M card running striped twin IBM 30gig 75GXP drives,
original Matsushita CD, internal Jaz and Yamaha CDRW 8424, now with OSX
Jaguar running on 4.3 gig scsi Fujitsu, and loving it!
