I have an 8500 with 256 meg of ram, a sonnet g3 450 and I installed a 4 gig
drive to put os 10 on to mess around with it. From some of the posts I have
read, I may have incompatible ram and the system copied copious files onto
the drive then shut down and wont start up at all; even from my system disk,
or norton . ( I had tried a test run on my 7300, 604, with 160 meg of ram and
got as far as a crazy message during install and no harm was done so I felt
confident that I could try this). I then removed the second drive and was
rewarded with the same results. how do I get the thing to restart? did I
conceivably fry the board or the sonnet? the quizzical art
