Now what I have obsessively fallen into is checking the disk after the install. I've used DiskWarrior, Nortons and TechToolPro for this post install analysis. What I do is prep the disk before the install with one or more of these tools. I'm always surprised, amazed to see corrections of one type or another found and so far I've seen this with every system install (7-10). I know the criticisms of these system analysis products and it seems Nortons always find something to fix. If your disk is empty except for the system and OS applications, these disk tools take no time to look at your disk. Then I know I'm starting off with a clean slate. Now if you have your internet connection you can grab the OS update to bring you up to 10.2.2. Good luck. Eric
