Nils, I don't see any replies to your post so will post what ai know on 
the subject. Which isn't much. This seems to be a known issue with the 
Apple 6400/6500 . So it is possible it carries over to the C600/Apus 
3000.

I believe he is speaking of the CommSlot II Ethernet card which both 
the Apple 6400/6500 have and also many C600's He didn't try a PCI 
Ethernet card and you didn't mention which you were using. Best of
