Dear List:

This is my first post to this list.

I have a good friend who has a PowerMac 8500 with 304 MB RAM and a Sonnet G3 350
processor upgrade card installed. He is interested in running OS X on his machine. I
understand that one can purchase enabling software from Sonnet to allow legacy Macs to
run OS X. I have also seen a software product called X PostFacto which does
essentially the same thing. What are the differences between these two software
packages? Does the X PostFacto work with the Sonnet processor upgrade cards?

What other things are involved to run OS X on a legacy Mac such as the 8500?

Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Roland :)
