i don't agree with most religions, but am a very spiritual person. religion and spirituality contradict each other in most cases. eastern "religions", or beliefs make the most sense to me.

western christianity seems motivated by fear and guilt, as well as jealously of other beliefs systems, rather than enlightenment. the god they describe is angry, vengeful, and jealous. i guess that's why they are.

but before we do here what we are accusing Dan of doing on Lowendmac, we should probably let this discussion trail off.

Absolutely. And I've said so to Dan, who, unusually for him, did not
reply. But I daresay he had a lot of mail on the topic.

Personally, I despise religion. *All* religion. I am a staunch atheist and
do not want anyone else's beliefs in my face.

But all the same, I believe in live and let live.

If others want to believe, want to talk about it, fine. But online tech
sites are NOT the place.
