I have had similar issues on my 7300/G3400 (using UnSupX 2.2.2 -- the newer
versions didn't get me to the installer), except there were no error
messages -- the installation simply quit.  I had access to the installer
menu, and could view the log, but it got no further than beginning to
install the BSD infrastructure.  The CD then spun down, and all was quiet.
