I'm trying to install OS X on a stock Beige G3 266 Desktop version. At first, it would not install because when I clicked on the Install OS X icon and the Restart button, it would say that it could not set the Install CD as the Startup Disk (error -2).
I did some research and decided to use XPostFacto 2.2.4. The computer would boot up with the gray Apple splash screen and start listing the boot steps (I'm running XPostFacto in Verbose Mode). My problem is, it gets stuck on BOOTP. It will say: .......nfs_boot: BOOTP timed out, retrying.... bootp: h/w addr 0:5:2:ab:77:66 It's repeated this about 5 times before I just rebooted the computer and it takes a long time for it to print just one set. Anyone have any ideas what this is regarding? I thought I read it was about the internet daemon or something but I tried it with and without the network cable plugged in. __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
