OK. I have OS X installed and running (barely). Many of my apps refuse to launch. I
actually installed Xv10.2 on my IDE drive, using my friend's iMac, then installed the
XPostFacto stuff, as I couldn't seem to get through the installation process using my
machine. I may try to run the installer again, from my S900, to see if it will "fill
any gaps", so to speak., then run the 10.2.3 update and Sonnet's X Tune-Up stuff to
wake the L3 cache on th upgrade card. Anyhow, I have found that the built-in 10 base-T
ethernet, which works like a dream in 9, doesen't show as a network port in System
Preferences in X, and wonder if that's unusual, or if the port simply isn't supported.
If not, could someone refer me to an inexpensive 10 or 10/100 card that I can find at
Best Buy or somewhere else common, that doesen't require one of the first two PCI
slots (which are in use)? It can be a typical Windows card from Wal-mart, for all I
care, so long as it will work in X, and doesen't cost an arm and a leg. Thanx, in
advance, and thanx to all who actively helped me get X up and running (sort of).
