Sonnet's X TuneUp is a package update for people who are using the Sonnet X installer (does the same job as XPF, but most agree that XPF is better, and free!). Since you are using XPF, you don't need this.
The Powerlogix Cache Control is an app that will do the same thing as L2CacheConfig, but it has more features than L2CC, such as being able to disable the on board cache (definitely recommended that you do that, the on board L2 slows down everything). You can use L2CC or the Powerlogix software, they both enable the cache. With the PowerLogix software, you don't need to use grabL2 though, install it after you have OSX running and then just turn on the cache, just like you do in OS9. -Robyn On Wednesday, February 19, 2003, at 12:44 PM, Edgarbc1 wrote: > ok, im a little confused in what I should install > on my PM8600 running OSX with Sonnet G4/800. > > I have installed XpostFacto and have used > L2CacheConfig (grabL2) program also from Ryan Rempel. > > But i have read at xlr8yourmac.com that people > also install Sonnets X TuneUp and/or > Powerlogix Cache Control. > > Is this necessary?
