I was installing X on 14" monitor where I was not able to get more then 640*480 since it was VGA connected via reduction. I solved it the way that I was looking for some resolution that would show me something. I found switching configuration that gave me 1150*7xx. It was ghosted image but I saw button. Not sure what to do with Apple 14" monitor. Hitting return doesn't work. No button is selected.
