Ok, now I'm *really* confused.

First it sounded like you were trying to use a parallel printer on your
mac, for which the USB solution above works.

Now it sounds like you've got a parallel printer on a PC you want to
share with your Mac. In that case the links given earlier about sharing
a printer form a PC to the mac will work.

What precisely are you trying to do?

I was pointing people to solution described like that: (it sounded
interesting for me)
I had to put text into mail in orriginal posting not just link.

Printing from a Mac OS X (or Mac OS 9) computer to a printer hooked up to a
Windows 98 machine
I wanted to print from my Mac, in the office downstairs, to our laser printer,
which is hooked up to a Windows 98 computer in the den upstairs. Windows NT,
XP, and 2000 include "print services for Unix" that provide a Unix-standard
LPD daemon, to which Mac OS X and other Unix-derived systems can print. But
Windows 98 doesn't.
Fortunately, a fine gentleman named Gernot Zander has written lpd.zip, a
small, free LPD service called LPD-Win that works in Windows 95, 98, and Me.

And quoting that I would like to do the same with PC connected inkjet.
That's all.

Your solution is for NT, 2000 nad XT if I can remeber well. I deleted that
file.

Actually combining the lpd service for Windows 98 above and the rest of the instructions in my link will make it work with Windows 98.

The only thing in this missing that 2000& XP have that Win95, 98 or ME don't is the lpd driver.

ghostscript and redmon do work in them.
