The problem you are running into is that because OS X has no legacy code, it tends to access memory much more often than OS 8/9 would. I use all interleaved memory in my PM 9600/G4 800 with 768MB of memory. However, all the memory is high quality 60ns EDO and interleaved pairs matched by manufacturer. Most problems (IMHO) come from using 70ns and/or mixing EDO and FPM in one machine. My memory test is to boot into OS 9.1 and run Newer's Gauge Pro memory test overnight. If that works, OS X should be ok.

I have to use NON-interleaved memory on my 8600/G3 to run OSX ?
I have an assortment of DIMMs in this rig, so it's not a biggie. Just
looking for clarification.
