A PCI Rage 128 took my 8600/G3/300 from being an OS9 machine with OSX on the second HD as a novelty to being a full-time OSX machine. Admittedly it still only scores 20 in Xbench (I never tested it without the Rage 128), but the difference from the onboard video is phenomenal, and well worth the $70 from ebay. Hopefully Panther will give it a bit more of a boost. If only I'd been able to get the Radeon 7000 for a similar price...
