Java Update 1.4.2

Hi Guys this is a little off topic so please take it off line and 
mail me direct so we don't upset the listserve gods.....unless people 
think it's relevant for group

I've just tried to install Java 1.4.2 update on B&W G3 running 10.3.2 
and it reports that it cannot be installed as 1.4.1 must be installed 
first - cool I here you say just install 1.4.1 - well there lies the 
problem, I run that installer and it says 1.4.1 is already present?

Any ideas how I can fix this?
