I have a Wallstreet, just got it about a week ago. It had 10.2.6 on it. I have panther CD's. I tried it with those first and it wouldn't work. I downloaded XPF and tried it, no luck. I used software update to get it to the current 10.2.8.

I tried XPF and the panther install again. I got it to boot off the CD, start the installation, then I get the message:
"Essentials cannot be installed on this computer. Your computer is not compatible with Mac OS X 10.3"

I tried to boot off the DiskWarrior 3 CD, to check the drive. It starts off with the gray background, like when it's first starting 9.2, then I get the little spinning cursor, then the screen and laptop freeze and the video is kind of messed up.

Any ideas guys? I REALLY want panther on this laptop. What else can I try? It *seems* like XPF is working I guess? It will boot of the CD and at least start the installation.

Could it be something with the drive? What would cause Disk Warrior to not boot?
