You can't ignore what it exploits.

If you excluded sobig/melissa/concept style exploits, you would
eliminate about 19 out of 20 Windows viruses. There's a whole CLASS
of exploits that *only* exist in Windows... so far.

Apple is heading that way, though. But they won't get a clue and
stop heading that way if people ignore the problem and just say
things like "all systems have vulnerabilities" and ignore the basic
problem.

So, you really should care about specific vulnerabilities and
consider whether a feature is worth the risk, or if there is a way
to get the same fuctionality without blurring the distinction
between trusted and untrusted objects, and avoid and discourage
dangerous features even if RIGHT NOW the exposure doesn't lead to
an exploit.
