hi folks,
I have a beige g3 desktop server running on Jaguar.
Now I want to run Panther on it. I can't stick in a Graphics Card as all PCI slots are used. I tried some months before with no success but decided to give it a break as xpf was in early alpha status. I was able to run Panther on other unsupported machines so I know all the basic steps
I have this dam* Rage Pro Revision B board what causes Window Manager crashes.
I needed to pull out the Ati Driver bundle to run Jaguar stable like told here:
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=25564
I read that with Panther there are similar Problems. How far has this been tracked down yet. Does pulling the ati driver bundle files out of the Panther system helps for that ?
tia, Sven
