Note that B&W G3's with a particular CD-ROM, and Panther 10.3.2 install CD's needed a special firmware command to boot into the installer. I found this out after trying my installer CD in other machines(G3 laptop, G4's, etc.) and went looking for information, and found an Apple Tech. Note.
