Both the 10.3 and 10.4 installs on my Wallstreets left me with scrambled video when Thousands of colors mode was used (Millions was better but still screwy). Replacing the ATI Rage Pro kexts in the System with ones from 10.1.5 (10.2.5 or 10.2.8 seem to work well, too) fixed these problems for me and the speed boost of 10.3 and 10.4 over 10.2 make the Wallstreets pretty nice to use.
If you decide to go this route, you'll need to remove the following files from System/Library/Extensions on your OS 10.3 or 10.4 WallStreet: ATIRagePro.kext ATIRageProGA.plugin Then acquire the same files from a 10.1.5 (or 10.2.5 or 10.2.8) install and put them into the same location in System/Library/Extensions. You need to chown the files to root:wheel and remove the Extensions.mkext and Extensions.kextcache files when modifying the /System/Library/Extensions folder or your changes won't be noticed by the system. My method of chowning the extensions is to do the following commands in order: sudo chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions/ATIRagePro.kext sudo chmod -R go-w /System/Library/Extensions/ATIRagePro.kext sudo kextload /System/Library/Extensions/ATIRagePro.kext sudo chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions/ATIRageProGA.plugin sudo chmod -R go-w /System/Library/Extensions/ATIRageProGA.plugin sudo kextload /System/Library/Extensions/ATIRageProGA.plugin WARNING: I am not a *nix monkey in any shape or form, I just know that this method was recommended to me for manually inserting kexts into the System and giving them the correct permissions to function. This has worked wonderfully for me in the past but that's no guarantee of anything.
