FILMOBILE is a network project bringing together the mobile phone
industry, filmmakers and artists working with mobile devices.
FILMOBILE is organising a major event in the spring of 2008
consisting of a three parts: a gallery exhibition, cinema screenings
and an international conference. This event will explore the cultural
impact brought about by new mobile technologies and initiate debates
between artists, filmmaker, the media and the new mobile industry.
The exhibition will feature mobile art works by Bebe Beard, Brian
House, Brooke A. Knight, Camille Baker, Henry Reichhold, Jo Thomas,
Mark Amerika, Kasia Molga, Max Schleser, Melissa Bliss, Romain
Forquy, Simon Longo, Steve Hawley and Sylvie Prasad.
Besides the mobile photography and mobile phone videos and
interactive art works, FILMOBILE welcomes additional submissions of
mobile phone works in the tradition of mixed media installations. In
addition innovative mobile phone video/moving-image productions can
still be submitted to be incorporated in the FILMOBILE screening
program until the 18th February 2008.

Submissions for mobile film productions should be submitted via email
by the 18th of February 2008, 5pm.
The FILMOBILE events consists of the FILMOBILE exhibition at the
London Gallery West from the 4th April to the 5th May 2008,
screenings of mobile phone film, video and moving-image projects on
the 4th April 2008 and an international conference on 5th April 2008
in the Lumiere Cinema, 309 Regent Street, London.
